the adventure day

last night we went and saw the forbidden kingdom. i liked it cos it had some good fight scenes with jackie chan and jet lee. they know some mad asian kung fu.
we went to bed reasonably early but there are some indian people staying in the room next door. for some reason they started being really loud and woke me up at 1:58am. i heard one of them yelling a bit later then someone came and told them off and one of them said "sorry, its just our friend raja, he cant hold his alcohol".
then at about 3(i was still awake) jarryd started talking in his sleep. i was laughing to myself and wrote down what he said on my phone. it was "everything worked out pretty good, so dont delete it. just leave everything the way it is" haha random!
then i realised i was still full awake so i listened to all the best songs of the high school musical 1+2 albums.
then i listened to jack johnsons newest album, which is hella good.
then i tried to sleep for a bit, but had to get up to have a wee.
i tried to sleep some more, but next minute toms alarm went off. it was 7 and i still hadnt slept from when raja woke me up.
the reason tom set his alarm for so early was cos him and cal were doing the nevis bungy and had to be in town at 8. so they left and then i finally fell asleep, but was woken when the mulks got back.
then we left to the shotover canyons, where jarryd and tom did the jet boat while me and cal chilled.
then we all caught the bus to the canyon swing.
it is a 60m freefall then it swings you round at speeds of 200kmh.
cal went first and the blokes said cos he had already done the nevis bungy he had to go backwards. he did it all smooth and lookede stoked when he came back up.
then i went. the guys rigging it up are constantly trying to scare ya, so when i was just about to jump off, they debated for a few minutes whether or not i needed some extra clip that was just hanging off me, not attached to anything. finally they said that it wouldnt matter, and i asked them if they were sure and one of the blokes looked hell hesitant and just said he didnt know and we will find out once i jump. the bastards.
i did the pin drop, but as soon as i started dropping my limbs were flapping everywhere and jarryd reckons i was trying to fly.
jarryd did the pin drop next and after him tom went backwards. about halfway down tom started kicking his legs and thrashing about so he looked like "a fish out of water" according to the guys.
then i went again and they said i had to do a backwards one this time. they were psyching me out, telling me i had to do an 'elvis cutaway', but it looked crazy so i blurted out "i'd rather do a backflip." they thought that was an even better idea but once i got to the edge i pussed out and said, nah i will just jump off regular backwards. but they said that i wasnt allowed to change so i had to do a backflip. it was cool though, it was hella fun.
then manj went again and they strapped him in a chair and he sat there and rocked back off the edge, doing a backflip then twisting into a sideflip. it looked hell funny. after cal went he raced up and filmed the last five, so we got some good footage.
tonight we are hitting up the town big time.
my hands are still shaking, jumping off the ledge was probably the best thing i have ever done. next time i come to queenstown, there is no way im not doing it.
