i'm dissapointed the way my season ended this year, on a personal level, and for our team.
i am gunna miss the last game of the season because of my broken thumb, and its a game that actually seems winnable for once. our team has lost so many winnable games that we are reminiscient of the dockers form of late. this is due to our forward line structure, and injury to a few quality players. my season was shit. the only goodpoints i can see are my 14.1 (accurate goalkicking) for the season and my 5.0 against eaton. and that i'm tied for first in the mail medal, but everyone knows its flawed anyway. i reckon it will be out of harbeck, baker and alex for the mail medal, but harbeck is a certainty for the club f+b. his intensity and defensive play is unrivalled in the colts league and he can also be a potent scoring option.
it was good to see manj and rang play a few games before we left, and get a few goalski's.
dont know how the team will go with 3 of us leaving, then two more after that, and plus two of the best players are injury prone (alex and T-page).
good luck for the rest of the year boys
hopefully i will be able to scrounge up a few afl games over in NZ. if not someone will have to send some over for me. i might take the video of the pies 1990 premiership over because judging by losing to carlton two weeks ago then bulldogs last week it looks like the drought might be at least 19 years long. but with players like thomas, pendlebury, brown, goldsack, davis, didak, cloke, clarke, heath shaw, swanny and lockyer, all pretty much young blokes, the club looks to be in good hands in the next half decade and probably a premiership within 2-3yrs, competing with hawthorn and geelong and possibly even carlton (damn right i know your surprised)
out like the lakers in six.
